Order-to-cash lifecycle
A six-stage flow — new, accepted, invoiced, dispatched, paid, completed — with invoice capture, payment recording, and cancellation that returns stock automatically.
Case study
A mobile-first order management and field-sales platform running a national salon-products distribution network across India — designed, built, and operated end to end by ARK Angel Labs.
Overview
ODA runs the day-to-day commerce of a salon-products distribution business: salons order stock, distributors and warehouses fulfil it, and the sales hierarchy above them — area managers, regional managers, finance, head office — tracks every order from creation through acceptance, invoicing, dispatch, and payment. Every screen and every query is scoped to the user's role and territory, and the whole thing runs in any phone browser off a ten-digit mobile number and a PIN: no app store, no installs, usable on low-end field devices.
The platform also carries the operational periphery that usually lives in separate tools — salon onboarding, inventory, trainer scheduling, demo-kit ordering, field expense claims, and sales analytics. ARK Angel Labs designed and built it for a client and has operated it in continuous production since early 2024.
Capabilities
A six-stage flow — new, accepted, invoiced, dispatched, paid, completed — with invoice capture, payment recording, and cancellation that returns stock automatically.
Every salon is mapped to its distributor, area manager, and regional manager across 42 sales regions — and each manager's app shows only their own patch.
Field staff create a salon with GST and PAN details and provision the owner's login in one flow, guarded against duplicate phone numbers.
Stock on hand per source, movement history, a dispatch workflow, and automatic stock return when orders are cancelled.
Salons request on-site trainings, head office assigns trainers around their blocked dates, and demo kits are ordered with quantity limits on restricted products.
Expense reports with photographed receipts uploaded from the phone, reviewable centrally and exportable to Excel.
Interactive sales dashboards, brand and region summaries, manager leaderboards, and spreadsheet export on most screens.
Eight roles, scoped in the database on every query — not just hidden in the interface — so an out-of-territory record simply doesn't exist for that user.
